The July release is a simple release.

use standard backup method below

backup /bin/mysql/( your current version )/data

copy customized part of bearsampp.conf

overwrite all files. update bearsampp.config with customized data. overwrite /bin/mysql/( your current version )/data with your backedup data. if you've customized your php.ini then be sure to do so again or copy over your customized php.ini to the current version.

The May release is a major release.

use standard backup method below

backup /bin/mysql/( your current version )/data

copy customized part of bearsampp.conf

delete /core
delete /latest-release
delete /favicon.ico
delete /www/apc.php *multiple vulnerabilities*

This release adds 2 new features.

To update overwrite or replace /core

copy /bin/xlight to /bin
copy /bin/mailpit to /bin

This release fixes missing files.

To update simple overwrite or replace /core

Replace core folder

Remove all php versions in /base/bin/php and replace with new versions due to security and hotifixes.

Download and install new & updated modules as desired. ( see changelog for full list )
